The project’s aim is to make series of trainings on free and open source softwaremultimedia tools that are not well known but can be used efficiently by professionals fromthe audio-production, image-manipulation, 3D, post-production and other fields of thedigital media industry. In the last few years the development of such type of open sourcesoftware has registered a huge leap and growth in functionality. While in 2007 the training had one module focused on Blender TOSMI 2008 Programme had three modules: General Blender Techniques, Tips and Tricks, Media content for the web, Streamingtechniques, e-Marketing; and Advanced Blender Techniques, External rendering engines, Python scripting. In 2008 one of the courses took place in Thessaloniki and the other two in Sofia. TOSMI 2008 is held with the help of a team of international and Bulgarian trainers: Theodore Dounas (Greece), Oliver Schneider (Germany), Dr. Benjamin Hodges (USA), Martin Ruskov (Bulgaria), Vladimir Petkov, aka Kaladan (Bulgaria), Veselin Zografov (Bulgaria), Alexandros Sigalas (Greece) and Raicho Nikolov (Bulgaria)
