The Video
An old man - shepherd is trying to take over his flock across the road. He is standing on the white line in the middle of the road and is trying to stop the cars, turning on, telling off. The flock is waiting on a side off the road. The story has no beginning, neither an end. It has only reactions.
The video is filmed in “hidden camera” maner.
The Music
This vision will be supported with author’s music, made especially
for the video - wooden flute “kaval” (traditional Bulgarian instrument, used
by the Bulgarian shepherds) with aggressive,
very influence arrangement from synthetic, industrial sounds.
Concept:
The clash of the different cultures. The challenge to remember. A simple
metaphor of the life and the roles that we have chosen or we are forced to
play in it. The work will allows to observe
the emotional states of the active participants (the shepherd, the drivers)
and of the audience, provoked from those metaphorical characters.
