Premiere screening of “Je mehr es hervordringt”, EMARE 2008 - 2008-10-27 04:51
After a two-month residency period of dense research and production in Sofia, London-based Greek artist Theo Prodromidis will show his film Je mehr es hervordringt on Thursday, 30th of October in the Red Hall of Red House Centre for Culture and Debate.
The film occupies a particular critical approach to contemporary urban development, drawing upon the present and investigating into the future of the city. The plot, dressed up in visual language far from typical for previous "storytelling" focused on Sofia, calls upon visual reference from the French new wave of the 50s and 60s and even further back to the time of the constructivist movement. European Media Art Network presents
European Media Artists in Residence Exchange 2009.
The European Media Art Network provides residencies in England, Germany, Bulgaria and the Netherlands for European artists.
With support of the European Union - Culture 2007-2013 programme the newly established European Media Art Network will host 16 European Media Artists in Residence Exchanges within 2008 and 2009 and organise a final exhibition in 2009 in Halle (Saale) additional to individual presentations. Presentation in Sofia of Coffee with Sugar – Episode 4 Korea - 2008-03-17 18:07
From 20 March to 20 April in Sofia will be shown Coffee with Sugar - Episode 4 Korea, which will take place in two cafe: The Tea House (Benkovski 11) and the Apartment (Neofit Rilski 68). Sofia is the first stop of the European tour of the Korean program in this international exchange screening project. Read more
